Vishal Chander Elected Director of AABANY; Receives Special Recognition for Committee Leadership

Vishal Chander has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY). He and Yen-Yi Anderson also received special recognition for their work as co-chairs of AABANY’s Solo and Small Firm Practice Committee.

AABANY is a New York–based minority bar association that supports Asian American legal professionals and engages in programming and advocacy on issues affecting the Asian American community. The organization’s Board of Directors oversees governance, policy, and strategic initiatives.

During their tenure as co-chairs, Mr. Chander and Ms. Anderson worked on initiatives supporting solo practitioners and attorneys at small firms, including professional development and practice-focused programming.

Mr. Chander noted that AABANY has been a welcoming professional community and said looks forward to continuing to contribute to the organization in his new role.
