On July 22, 2011, USCIS announced that approximately 21,600 cap-subject H-1B petitions had been filed for fiscal year 2012. This means that there are fewer than 43,400 cap-subject H-1B visas remaining for fiscal year 2012. The announcement also indicated that 13,300 Master’s cap H-1B petitions had been filed. The number of applications means that only 6,700 Master’s cap H-1B visa numbers remain available for fiscal year 2012. Those interested in seeking an H-1B for the current fiscal year are encouraged to submit petitions as quickly as possible. H-1B visas will be exhausted. The Chander Law Firm expects H-1B numbers to be exhausted by mid-January. Related Links: H-1B Fiscal Year (FY) 2012 Cap Season More Information The Chander Law Firm H-1B Practice
